Synopsis:

Come discover how to make Revit your one stop shop for everything related to data. The purpose of this class is to demonstrate how to create a data-centric model. This class will show you the variety of data that can be stored in Revit and be utilized for digital workflows.

Learning Objectives:

1. Defining what metadata is, its importance, and how to maintain it
2. Identify the need for data-centric models and how to utilize them
3. Understand the correlation between data centric models and digital workflows
4. Establish the variety of data that can be stored in Revit

Body:

Data-centric workflows are the next step! The AEC industry workflows are going through a complete overhaul. Models and Data driven processes are taking a front seat in this transition. Are you keeping up with client and industry expectations? Are you missing out on massive opportunities to leverage data? This will require a completely new way of thinking. Leveraging existing data is only one piece. Injecting the model with other relevant metadata is also becoming required to win and collaborate well. Is there such thing as too much data? What can you do will all of this data? Come join Eileen Phan and Timon Hazell as they highlight several projects and how data-centric methodologies are transforming their ways of collaborating and delivering on increasingly complex and fast paced projects.

COVID-19 Update

20th May 2020

DBEI has been closely monitoring the COVID-19 (coronavirus) situation around the world. While some parts of our society are beginning to open in baby-steps, none of us know how the situation will develop over the coming months. As such, DBEI has now made the decision to postpone all our 2020 events to 2021 as the well-being of all our partners and participants in our events remains our utmost priority. For new details on each region please visit our event pages. We have also sent communications to all registered attendees, speakers or sponsors for all of our 2020 events.

In the interim, DBEI will be launching several exciting virtual events and webinars in 2020 to continue to deliver the same expertise, insights and knowledge to the AEC industry during these uncertain times. We also have some other exciting initiatives we are working on to continue to provide value to our community, which we look forward to sharing with you all shortly.

We wish to thank you all for your support and appreciate your patience and understanding under the current circumstances and will continue to update our website and the community if there are any changes.

If you have any concerns or questions about our events please email us at info@dbei.org
