That’s Unreal! Beyond Viz: Make your Revit Projects Interactive using the Unreal Game Engine

Synopsis:

Being able to “look and touch” your projects bring much depth to your designs. This is easier now with Revit 2023. In this class, we will explore the process of taking a Revit project and using it in Twin Motion, and then exporting it to Unreal, and setting up the logic to make it interactive. It will be a fun wild ride! No Game Engine experience is necessary.

Learning Objectives:

1. Understand the use of game engines in the AEC industry for creating interactive experiences.
2. Learn how to take a Revit project and visualize it in Twin Motion.
3. Learn how to take a Revit Project from Twin Motion and import it into Unreal.
4. Learn how to make use of Unreal’s features and build logic to make interactive experiences.

Visualization is just that…. visualization, which is great for visualizing your Revit projects. What about interaction such as turning on lights or opening doors or controlling vehicles or deploying scenes as standalone playable games for clients? That is beyond visualization.
