Body:
Revit Component Families can be built in a myriad of ways, and while there is no “Right” way to build a component family, the decisions we make while building custom families for our teams to use regularly can make or break their workflows and have a big impact on their overall models.
Understanding the basic principles of how to build Revit Component Families is an important step in creating a good Revit Library for your organization, but it isn’t enough.
During this session we will go beyond the basics of family building and dig into the process of how to make the best decisions when making a custom library for any team. By understanding our end goal and our users, and putting more focus on a few key principles, we won’t just create better families for our projects and teams, but we can start to train our teams on how to use the families, without them even thinking about it.
