Advisory on the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV, also known as the Wuhan Coronavirus)
The Digital Built Environment prioritizes the well-being of all our partners, speakers, and delegates at any BILT event. At this stage, we are closely monitoring the developments of the 2019-nCoV coronavirus and its impact on BILT Asia 2020 due to take place at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore on 2nd – 4th April.
The effects of this situation on the running of BILT Asia 2020 is still unclear, however we are continuously assessing the situation to ensure all efforts are made for the well-being and safety of all our conference attendees and keep everyone up to date on the status of the event. At the very least, we will implement all necessary precautionary measures in line with instructions from World Health Organization (WHO) and the Singapore government, including those from the Ministry of Health (MOH), Ministry of Manpower (MOM), National Environment Agency (NEA), and the Singapore Tourism Board (STB).
There are currently travel/ transit restrictions in place for anyone who has visited mainland China 14 days prior to entry to Singapore, and prohibited entry to Chinese passport holders from the Hubei province. As of Friday 7th February; Singapore’s Ministry of Health has raised the DORSCON alert level to Orange. We are assessing the implications of this alert level on the holding of our event and are actively working with our partners to take the appropriate actions and determine what adjustments are necessary.
We do ask for your patience over the next 48-72 hours as we seek to clarify all concerns we have received regarding the event and will provide another update once more information becomes available.
