BILT ANZ 2022: Announcing Women in BIM (WIB)

We are pleased to announce our first industry support for BILT ANZ 2022 in November is Women in BIM! Women in BIM (WIB) and BILT have a relationship stretching back over a number of years based upon our common goal to improve the representation of women in BIM and digital design and engineering.

For BILT as an event, this has focussed on increasing awareness and actively working to build the number of women both speaking and attending our event. In this regard we are proud of what we have achieved over the last 5 years. As a supporter of BILT, representatives from WIB have worked with us hosting lunches and organising panel sessions. At our March event, WIB’s NSW regional lead, Jenny Tseng worked with BILT ANZ committee member Ceilidh Higgins to moderate an amazing panel on diversity in our industry which was one of the top ranked sessions of the event.

WIB’s broader role is as global network dedicated to supporting women in BIM related roles for skills, education and career progression. WIB has been successful in empowering women across the globe. You can find out more and join WIB by visiting their website: Women in BIM – Women in BIM. Membership is free and provides opportunities to events and mentoring. Membership will also enable first time attendees to register for a discounted ticket to BILT! Keep an eye out for future promotions on this subject.

WIB and BILT support one another by promoting our events and providing opportunities to share our networks. If you represent an industry body interested in supporting BILT though in kind relationships please get in touch with our marketing manager, Ceilidh Higgins (ceilidh.higgins@dbei.org)
