MelBIM partners with BILT ANZ
On February 21 MelBIM held their first event for the year, with the lecture theatre full with not even standing room remaining. At the event, MelBIM and BILT announced our partnership arrangement for 2019’s BILT ANZ event in Melbourne. It was fantastic to see such a huge response rate for MelBIMs first event of 2019 which sold out in record time. We are hoping this enthusiasm translates to record attendance at BILT in Melbourne in May!
Luke Johnston, MelBIM Co-founder and Executive Committee Member said “BILT really is one of the world’s premier industry events and we are delighted to be an official conference partner. With the Victorian government recently announcing the Victorian Digital Asset Strategy (VDAS), the timing is perfect for BILT ANZ to be held in Melbourne in 2019”
Whist BILT have long worked together with the BIM groups around Australia to provide mutual support, this year for the first time, MelBIM have formally signed up as a supporter of BILT event. This new partnership will see additional support from MelBIM to promote the event locally, and gives MelBIM attendees (or those registered for MelBIM’s emails) the chance to sign up for BILT at a discounted rate – although there is one catch – you have to be a new attendee to BILT. Luke encourages new attendees to register “To anyone from the MelBIM community thinking about attending their first BILT conference, we would wholeheartedly encourage them to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to learn from some of the world’s most knowledgeable and experienced specialists in their field. The quality of both the presentation content and networking is truly first-class” If you are locally based and haven’t been to a MelBIM event before (or a BILT), now is the time to sign up!
We rely heavily on the support of all the BIM groups around ANZ to help us get the word out as many of our potential attendees find these groups first before coming to BILT. We like to think we are the most closely aligned national event to the state level BIM groups and similar to these groups, operate based on a lot of work by industry volunteers. We are looking forward to all of the BIM groups continued support to help us promote BIM and digital technology in our industry around ANZ.
