Welcome to the BILT Europe Committee : Conor Shaw

It is with great delight that we welcome to the BILT Europe Committee, Conor Shaw as a new associate committee member to help us build and foster the community of Built Environment experts for BILT Europe 2020 in Valencia.
Conor is a veteran speaker in the BILT community. He debuted at RTC in Delft 2013, discussing BIM for SMEs and contributed as a panel speaker on standards in the AEC industry. In both Aarhus and Ljubljana he spoke about Scan-to-BIM for buildings in an historical context and this past year in Edinburgh he switched focus to address the climate in a round-table, unpacking the UNFCCC negotiations and their effect on the built environment. He has also been active within the BILT Academy as a mentor specializing in Reality Capture and Scan-to-BIM.
Trained as an architectural technologist in his home city of Dublin, Ireland, Conor later received a Masters in Construction and Real Estate Management from the HTW Berlin and Helsinki Metropolia UAS. He established Shaw Architectural Solutions in 2014 which provides a range of BIM consultancy services throughout Europe and the USA. His clients include MEP engineers, archaeological surveyors, architects and contractors.
Conor is currently occupied with the construction of an ecologically built guesthouse in Southern Finland, using mainly wood, straw and clay. He publishes and speaks regularly on issues of sustainability in the built environment and participated at the UN Climate Change Convention (COP24) in Katowice last year.
We look forward to having Conor on the BILT Europe committee to share his vast knowledge and expertise in helping us shape what we know will be a fantastic event in Valencia in October 2020!
