Bongjai Shin is an architect at HKS Inc.in Los Angeles. He has extensive experience in mixed-use and high-rise residential projects from feasibility study to punch list in construction administration including Metropolis in Los Angeles and Century Plaza Redevelopment in Century City, which are the biggest and the most expensive project in each city respectively. More importantly, he has been researching on design automation and developed his own software and workflow with the research group Labot he founded. Since applying his software to USC Student Housing, he spoke at BILT NA 2019 in Seattle and has been actively advocating the power of generative design in space planning. He was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea and received a Master in Architecture degree from Harvard University.
