BILT ANZ 2020 | Quickly Analyse your Revit models with the Revit API to drive in-model dashboardsBrett Burling, Arcadis Ryan Lenihan, JacobsDesignBILTCoding and Customisation, Data ManagementAutodesk
Synopsis:
With the fast pace of today’s projects, we often don’t leave enough time to regularly audit our models and keep them in check. In this session discover how we developed a customised tool using the Revit API that updates our chosen metrics in dashboard views within the model itself to quickly visualise model health.

BILT ANZ 2021, Sydney (March 2022) | Quickly analyse your Revit models with the Revit API to drive in-model dashboardsBrett Burling, Arcadis
Synopsis: With the fast pace of todays projects, we often dont leave enough time to regularly audit our models and keep them in check. In this session discover how we developed a customised tool using the Revit API that updates our chosen metrics in dashboard views within the model itself to quickly visualise model health.Learning Objectives: 1. Learn about key model health indicators and why they are important
2. Learn how to use the Revit API to extract and display data
3. Learn how to use Revit families to display model data.Body: Your Revit model contains a wealth of useful data but how do you leverage that data in an easy to read, user-friendly way?
In this class, we will discuss why we selected our chosen model performance metrics and why they are important to model health and performance.
Learn how to explore and analyse your Revit model by leveraging the Revit API to generate in-model dashboards that present the data to all modellers on the project in an easy to ready, visual manner.
In this session, we will also provide some code snippets to help you on your way to developing your own in-model analytics dashboard.Synopsis:
