Conor is a veteran speaker in the BiLT community. He debuted at RTC in Delft 2013, discussing BIM for SMEs and contributed as a panel speaker on standards in the AEC industry. In both Aarhus and Ljubljana he spoke about Scan-to-BIM for buildings in an historical context. Trained as a architectural engineer in his home city of Dublin, Ireland, he received his Masters in Construction and Real Estate Management from the HTW Berlin and Helsinki Metropolia UAS. Conor established Shaw Architectural Solutions in 2014 which provides a range of BIM consultancy services throughout Europe and the USA. His clients include MEP Engineers in Berlin, Archaeological Surveyors in Belfast, Architects in Helsinki and general contractors and subcontractors in the US. Recently Conor has been involved in establishing a network of professionals with a shared vision of sustainable building practices and is currently working on a number of straw-bale housing projects. Having published a number of academic papers in the past year on issues of sustainability in the built environment and participated at the UN Climate Change Convention (COP24) in Katowice, he intends on addressing the climate question at this years BiLT Europe.

COVID-19 Update

20th May 2020

DBEI has been closely monitoring the COVID-19 (coronavirus) situation around the world. While some parts of our society are beginning to open in baby-steps, none of us know how the situation will develop over the coming months. As such, DBEI has now made the decision to postpone all our 2020 events to 2021 as the well-being of all our partners and participants in our events remains our utmost priority. For new details on each region please visit our event pages. We have also sent communications to all registered attendees, speakers or sponsors for all of our 2020 events.

In the interim, DBEI will be launching several exciting virtual events and webinars in 2020 to continue to deliver the same expertise, insights and knowledge to the AEC industry during these uncertain times. We also have some other exciting initiatives we are working on to continue to provide value to our community, which we look forward to sharing with you all shortly.
