Hilda Espinal


Hilda Espinal is CannonDesign’s Chief Technology Officer, responsible for the evolution and implementation of computational tools and workflows, immersive technologies, building information modeling, advanced building analysis and design intelligence. A licensed architect and technology leader for more than 19 years, she helps clients and project teams around the world leverage technology and intelligent data to make informed decisions in the design process and innovate, while reducing risk and maximizing the impact of investments. Hilda built a Digital Practice at Perkins and Will and led this exciting space, as CTO for the global practices of HKS and today, at Cannon Design for the past 5 years.   < Hilda sits on the national board of directors for Women for Economic Leadership and Development (WELD), advisory board for Mars Home Planet Urbanization Challenge and leads CannonDesign Diversity and Inclusion Council. She is a regular speaker at both national and international industry and educational events. Hilda is actively engaged in the Autodesk Executive Council and the AIA’s CIO/CTO Large Firm Roundtable. In 2016, Hilda Espinal was named one of the “Top Women in Technology” by the Dallas Business Journal.

COVID-19 Update

20th May 2020

DBEI has been closely monitoring the COVID-19 (coronavirus) situation around the world. While some parts of our society are beginning to open in baby-steps, none of us know how the situation will develop over the coming months. As such, DBEI has now made the decision to postpone all our 2020 events to 2021 as the well-being of all our partners and participants in our events remains our utmost priority. For new details on each region please visit our event pages. We have also sent communications to all registered attendees, speakers or sponsors for all of our 2020 events.

In the interim, DBEI will be launching several exciting virtual events and webinars in 2020 to continue to deliver the same expertise, insights and knowledge to the AEC industry during these uncertain times. We also have some other exciting initiatives we are working on to continue to provide value to our community, which we look forward to sharing with you all shortly.
