BILT Virtual 2021 | Stream Two: Doors & hardware in BIM; data and collaboration are the keys to success (20mins)Marc Ameryckx, ASSA ABLOY
Synopsis:
BIM is not a tool to visualize a project in 3D, it is a way of working together! Join us as we talk about workflows and review case studies where collaboration was integral to the project’s success. We’ll also talk about • How to achieve the best solution in accordance with the requirements and the rules and how do you avoid discussions about openings afterwards?
• How do you ensure that users, maintenance teams and building owners are satisfied with door solutions?
• And how do you translate all this into BIM?ASSA ABLOY offers intelligent solutions and applications (BIM) to avoid problems around openings. With that in mind, you’ll find this to be an interesting webinar for architects, contractors, door manufacturers, integrators, installers and certainly also for facility managers and project owners.

BILT Europe 2022, Valencia | Break on through (to the other side) of doors in your modelsMarc Ameryckx, ASSA ABLOY Oana Udrea, ASSA ABLOY
Synopsis:
People are strange about their families, and manufacturers certainly get a bad reputation for their bloated and overly complicated families. As Door nerds, we see a lot of examples of how Door families are used in models. Join us for this session, where we’ll light your fire, and show you the good, the bad and the ugly. We’ll also explore best practices on how to handle door schedules, naming conventions and more. We will use case studies from around the world that showcase good collaboration between architects and specification writers, architectural consultants and more, and how you can use BIM content and models to leverage the best information possible and get jamming with your models.
