CEO
Marios Messios is an Architect Engineer and the Co-Founder and CEO of Parametricos. He studies and works to improve architectural innovation in Smart Cities and more specifically, Building Information Modeling with the use of Geospatial data, through all the phases of an architectural project. His primary focus is on web-based collaborative systems that bring the architect’s team, the owner and the surrounding community closer, for a collective and mindful architecture, that benefits and improves all stakeholders’ decision-making.
As an architect and researcher, Marios has worked in Berlin at Sauerbruch Hutton Architects. His experience proceeded as an External Specialist at Studio Aware in Frankfurt to explore a design approach that engages the non-experts in the creative process and as an External Specialist at the Digital Design Unit Darmstadt.
In 2018 he started Parametricos to work on interactive applications and projects, that aim to explore the importance of Geospatial Data and BIM.

Information and data gathered from both BIM and GIS increase the success of a complete project. In this course, we will investigate further into the integration of BIM and GIS and their interoperability between data structures and software. From design to software development, this workshop will give you a complete overview of how to stream GIS data in design software and how to host your own open-source smart-cities concept platform.
