Zach Soflin

BVH Architecture
Architect

Zach is a licensed architect at BVH Architecture. With almost a decade of experience, he has developed a special interest in computational applied design and research. His work includes projects of all sizes, with a particular focus on applying divergent design solutions anchored in research and data-driven analysis, including leveraging machine learning to automate design optimization and developed a mesh sensor network to quantify results. Zach’s desire for knowledge and collective exploration has positioned him as a thought leader within BVH, which led to the creation of Layer, now available to the public at http://layer.team and the Apple App Store. Zach has spoken at conferences around the country, including AIA National, APT, Advancing Computational Building Design, and AIA Nebraska.
