Based in Aarhus, Denmark, Marcus is the Global Business Development Manager for pump manufacturer Grundfos’ strategic projects within Building Services. As a serial entrepreneur his mission is to make Grundfos the easiest pump company to work with, through digital tools. He is an avid global speaker on the perceived challenges of providing a global BIM offering, and how to overcome them – spicing up his talks with great deals of humor and provocative statements.He is also a member of the Building Content Summit (BCS) Steering Committee and is involved in organizations like ASHRAE, Europump, BIMMEPaus and ISO. Being exceptionally passionate about all things digital, he has worked with innovation and incubation of new products and business models. He holds a Master of Science in Economics and International Business from Aarhus University’s School of Business and Social Sciences – and brews beer in his spare time.

Rui Gavina is the Digital Practice Manager at VN2R, a structural engineering firm. He leads the BIM business development and is responsible for the design and introduction of new and optimized approaches on the use of digital technologies. He is also the Structural BIM advisor of DiRoots, a BIM consultancy and digital technology company. Rui has previously collaborated in one of the first Portuguese structural engineering firms to use Revit and embrace BIM collaborative processes. He was also the BIM implementation leader in a renown structural engineering firm before becoming a partner in VN2R.
Rui is an active community member in the digital built environment. He is the speaker manager of BILT Europe, one of the most well-recognized and respected events related to BIM and digital technologies. Rui is one of the founders of the group ISEPBIM, a non-profitable BIM community related to the Polytechnic Institute of Engineering of Porto (ISEP-IPP), focused on the promotion and dissemination of BIM in Portugal and creating a closer engagement between the academic environment and the industry.
Rui received a Bachelor and Master degree in Civil Engineering from Polytechnic Institute of Engineering of Porto (ISEP-IPP) and took a post graduate degree on Computer Aided Structural Design.
Shaw Architectural Solutions
Trained as an architectural technologist in his home city of Dublin, Ireland, Conor later received a Masters in Construction and Real Estate Management from the HTW Berlin and Helsinki Metropolia UAS. He established Shaw Architectural Solutions in 2014 which provides a range of BIM consultancy services throughout Europe and the USA. His clients include MEP engineers, archaeological surveyors, architects and contractors.
Conor is currently occupied with the construction of an ecologically built guesthouse in Southern Finland, using mainly wood, straw and clay. He publishes and speaks regularly on issues of sustainability in the built environment and participated at the UN Climate Change Convention (COP24) in Katowice last year.

Silvia founded LRCZ in 2008 and is a founding member of the RTC Europe Foundation since 2012. She first got exposed to the concept of BIM or integrated planning as a contractor for the emerging Revit platform in early 2007 and since then wholeheartedly embraces the vision on creating a better future for the generations ahead by extensively utilising unbiased collaborative thinking. She is a free spirit and lateral thinker; combining industry knowledge, managerial assets and clear vision. By doing so, Silvia has contributed to conferences such as RTC Europe and BILT Europe as well as influenced other industry related events, shaping the individuality of those. Silvia inspires everyone with her energy and drive – propelling the collaborative goal of integrated planning.
Born in Austria too long ago to remember, Martin graduated as an Architect from Technical University Graz, Austria in 1987 and practiced in Austria, Germany and Brazil through 1999. At that time he joined Autodesk briefly, then moved to the fledgling Revit Technology Corporation in 2001, before getting reabsorbed by Autodesk with its purchase of Revit the following year. He worked as a product designer and product manager on Revit in multiple geographies including both Japan and Australia, before joining a new technologies based architectural and consulting practice in the Netherlands in 2007, LivingRoomCraftz (www.livingroomcraftz.com). Martin has spoken at numerous conferences including RTC, is an author, blogger whose deep technical expertise in many of the most complex BIM tools has him in high demand throughout Europe and the rest of the world.
