Jens is the BIM Manager for BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group in Copenhagen, where he oversees everything BIM related on the projects coming out of the Copenhagen, London & Barcelona offices. Jens also helps spearhead the high-level implementation of BIM and related design technologies, on a global level, in close collaboration with his counterpart in the NYC office. Previously to BIG, Jens spent three years working for Foster + Partners in London, where he was part of the initial team who implemented BIM & Revit there. Over the years Jens have been involved in many large scale BIM projects all over the world, with one of them being the Oceanwide Center in San Francisco, that got into the final top 8 of projects for the 2017 Autodesk Excellence Awards. Both at BIG and at Foster + Partners, Jens have always kept a very open-minded approach to BIM in architecture, with an aim to give the architects as much freedom as possible, and to implement BIM without hindering the design process if possible.
