Martin Röck is junior scientist and doctoral candidate at Graz University of Technology. He holds a Master degree in Architectural Engineering and has a background in building systems and energy design. Over the years, he gained extensive experience in BIM application and process development, providing lectures and trainings. In his master thesis he explored various aspects of sustainable construction by combining participatory design approaches and the implementation of environmental assessments in BIM-design processes. Continuing the path started during his time as visiting researcher at ETH Zurich, Martin is now focusing on the integration of Life Cycle Design and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) into BIM-based design processes aiming to support the Transformation to a decarbonized construction industry.
