Cost professionals utilise digital data to articulate costs to both Clients and the subcontract supply chain. Obtaining the right data at the right time can prove challenging. This session aims to assist Cost Professionals in how to articulate requests for information to improve the value they add to their services
1. Understand what information is available to utilise.
2. Understand how to ask for construction information.
3. Understand compromises and counter proposals that can be made to a Quantity Surveyor Model Content Plan.
Cost professionals utilise digital data to articulate costs to both Clients and the subcontract supply chain. Obtaining the right data at the right time can prove challenging.
As Quantity Surveyor Model Content Plans become more prevalent. Design teams and project managers need to understand how this impacts their Terms of Reference, and Workflows and how to achieve the best value from an MCP.
This presentation will cover:
• What information do cost professionals use?
• What can cost professionals ask for?
• What is a QS MCP and where are they currently adopted?
• What is the aim of a QS MCP?
• How to incorporate a QS MCP into your BIM Execution Plans and object libraries
• Compromising and negotiating with a project team on MCP requirements
• Examples of QS MCP implementation
