Queensland Government BIM Update
Synopsis:
Speakers from five Queensland Government agencies will provide an overview of how BIM is being used by the Government. This will include a whole of Government BIM policy update plus updates from agencies about how they are using BIM on their projects and how they are further developing their approaches.

Body:
The Queensland Government BIM update session will provide a broad overview of the current state of play of BIM within government and outline plans for the future. Commencing with an update on Queensland’s BIM policy and its implementation, Anthony Jensen will discuss Government’s progress four years on from the original policy announcement and outline the work program for his team over the coming year to continue the BIM journey and investigate the development of a digital twin.
Following this, two departments (Transport and Main Roads and QLD Corrective Services) will discuss how recent advances in their BIM approaches align to and deliver on the Government’s BIM policy.
To wrap up the session, Andrew Curthoys from Queensland’s biggest infrastructure project, Cross River Rail, will discuss how digital innovation is at the heart of delivering this transformative project. The session will end with ample time for audience Q&A
